ISAIAH'S CONCEPT MUSTANG FASTBACK

3D

Being a Mustang owner and enthusiast it's been interesting to see the evolution of the Mustang. With each new model release I found myself wondering when, if ever, Ford would return to the days of the '67 Fastback. They got close with their latest release, but I've decided to take it into my own hands.

Here's my pride and joy. She's been an endless project and a headache at times, but has been a blast to own. A 1967 Ford Mustang in Bullitt Green.

Starting from the original Concept sketch, this model was created in 3ds Max. Orthographic views of both a 1967 Mustang and a 2012 Shelby were used as guidelines for the proportions.

All texturing and lighting was done in 3ds Max 2012. Rendering was done using Mental Ray. Multiple layers of detail were rendered out individually. Compositing was done in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.

This is not a '67 rear end on a 2012  front end. This is what was right then, meshed with what is right now. This is what the Mustang should be.
