Related Grey is a boutique of design and visual communication specialists in Southern California that works with clients around the world.
We're artists. We have a collective focus on creating beautiful work directed at impacting the consumer, defining the brand, connecting and sustaining relationships.  

We specialize in using leading visual technology to deliver design based cg animation, compositing, broadcast post-production, motion design, campaign development and interactive design. Our work is used in print, television, and on the web and is often scalable between those media. Our heart is in the fine arts, our commitment is to deliver advertising and marketing communications, regardless of media involved to create or deliver that content, that work.

luke takahashi - drill sargent

Luke is one of the founding members of rG. With over 10 years in the advertising industry, he has built a name for himself as one of the preeminent designers in the industry.

His career started in the late 1990’s when he joined Impiric Interactive based in Irvine, California where he worked on the Lincoln and Mercury brands. From there he later joined Wunderman and was one of the key designers on the Sony, El Pollo Loco and Taco Bell brands. While at Wunderman he was once again reunited with the Lincoln/Mercury brands where he helped the agency win not only win the annual Belding Award, but also many Orange County Ad Awards. Luke’s work on the Mercury Mountaineer was also published in Graphis Design Annual.

 He later Joined Y&R as an Art Director where his 3D motion design, post-production, compositing and editing work was highlighted with work on brands such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Mattel and Callaway Golf.

Most recently Luke worked with John Doyle as part of the Labyrinth Worldwide global creative network where he worked on campaigns for Mitsubishi, Intel, MasterCard, Mobil, Verizon, Smith/Barney, US Army and Kohls.
Luke has also worked on projects with agencies BBDO, Wong Doody and Saatchi & Saatchi.

If he’s not traveling to surf he can be found riding around the back roads of Southern California on his motorcycle with his wife Lucy.
