Design Theory is the backbone of all of rG’s operations. With an eye to current trends balanced by a solid base of fine
arts and graphic design the team that is Related Grey approaches each project from the viewpoint of “How do we tell the story best?”

Sometimes it's simplicity. Sometimes it isn’t. Sound can be a simple echoing “ping…” to many layers that build to a booming wall. Graphics
might be one shape that grows on the screen, or an array of objects spinning senselessly until suddenly, it makes sense. A page can be one image,
a headline and a logo, or fifty images that become more than their parts add up to. It’s all about what needs to be said and whom we’re speaking to.

For us, design is worth sweating over. For you, our design will always seem simple, straightforward and delivered as discussed.

print

Related Grey’s background is big client and big agency. We bring that to the boutique that is rG. For years print was king. Campaigns are fleshed out for everything from local pitches to global campaigns.

Concepts are key. Execution is everything. We get that and love every minute of it.
Print is a visual media and it’s the visual that captures the consumer’s attention
but it’s the headline is what makes the visual jump.
The two must be one to succeed.

motion

Related Grey’s work in motion graphics, we call them mnemonics or memory saving devices, has graced the spots and print of a huge number of clients
around the world. We think it’s what CG was made for. Your logo alive, with more than a spin, more than an assembly, more than expected, usually in about
3 seconds. It’s the tag that ties the print to the TV campaign and brings the spot home.
3D modeling & animation

3D modeling and animation is the heart of Related Grey. We’ll often use these tools for comping and have perhaps the best 3D artists,
people capable of modeling a car by hand and eye. At it’s simplest, it’s your product, perfected. At the other end of the spectrum it is full-on
television production in HD with everything but the weather days.
cg compositing

Motion and static multi-layer compositing sounds simple, and is, when done from a knowledgeable and planned position. Whether dropping
your talking head into one of our environments and moving, gently, to tie it together or layering six scenes from a multi-player game so that
the viewer is there after :03 of :30, we believe in the seamless and unnoticed integration of images. Stills and video both get the same
attention from planning the creation of elements to how they will come together.
interactive

Interactive design is print that lets the viewer involve themselves at their own pace.
When good, they enjoy it and dive deeper. When great, they stay for hours getting to know
your products, services and brand. We strive for greatness that goes beyond that
over-used word, intuitive. Humans like options that are clearly seen and sensibly
organized. Great design brings those options to the viewer such that they know where
to go and what they’ll get when they arrive. We do great design.
sound design

Watching Luke and Jason, our creative director and our sound designer, pull together a score is seeing and hearing two minds that have been
friends for years and have fun pushing each other to greatness. Stock and purpose recorded effects shake hands with an underlayment of music
that captures the mind and pulls it in, never intrusive unless desired to be an auditory smack upside the head that makes you look to see what hit you.
hdri

We continue to compile a library of unique high resolution panoramas with matching HDRI radiance and reflection maps all specifically captured for use in automotive imaging utilizing 3d/cgi rendered sets and vehicles.
